This is the Conservative Party’s big opportunity in Scotland

If the Conservatives want to ensure a landslide victory at the next election, and significantly undermine the SNP, they should follow the example of Murdo Fraser, MSP for Mid-Scotland and Fife.

Murdo this week took a
brave stance on Twitter in response to his constituents raising concerns about the Scottish Government's schools guidance on transgender pupils ("policy capture by the lunatic fringe"):

The schools guidance
includes provision for four-year-olds to change their 'gender' without the consent of their parents, completely disregards safeguarding, and is the latest in a long line of SNP policies that are bad for women and children.

You can read the schools guidance
here...

The SNP’s extreme position on gender ideology was well known even before the last election, but the Scottish Conservatives missed the opportunity to counter on this as an election issue that would have secured many thousands of votes, particularly from women.

The opportunity is now even greater. This is the Conservative Party’s big opportunity: the SNP has overreached on this issue; women and parents are furious; the SNP are unfit to govern Scotland.

The Conservatives should make this a key Tory policy in Scotland, and back it up from Head Office: oppose the relentless pursuit of gender ideology.

It might even save the Union, not to mention women and children.

Yes - Stonewall's ideological incoherence and its demands for corporate compliance continue to get worse.
